Wick

A crypto market research and simulated trading terminal. Live exchange data, quantitative setup detection, AI-assisted research, risk-based position sizing, and prop-style simulated accounts, in one workspace where every trade stays a human decision.

What Wick is

Wick is a web application built by Candlelit Trading for researching cryptocurrency markets and practising trading against the rules proprietary-trading firms use. It reads public market data from major exchanges, scores every tracked coin against six quantitative playbooks, lets you run bounded AI research on the ones that look interesting, and builds a complete trade plan with the stop, target, and position size already worked out. Execution is simulated. Wick holds no exchange accounts, no API keys, and places no real orders.

It is also, deliberately, a teaching instrument. Every term on screen is explained in plain English where it appears, so the vocabulary of trading is learned by using it.

The five screens

Charts

Up to four live candlestick charts on six timeframes from one minute to one day. History is stored locally, so the charts are continuous even across restarts, and gaps are repaired from the exchange automatically.

Market

Every USDT pair on the exchange with last price, 24-hour change and volume, a cross-exchange divergence column, and two momentum columns: the change over the last hour, and whether that change is speeding up or fading. From here any coin can be sent to Analysis or traded directly.

Context

One coin in depth. Volume against its own 30-day average, realised and implied volatility, moving-average distances, RSI, order-book depth and slippage at your account size, funding and open interest, correlation to Bitcoin, and historical base rates: what happened after moments like this one on this coin before, with sample sizes and confidence intervals.

Analysis

The research workspace. A scan every fifteen minutes checks every tracked coin against the playbooks and sorts them into Needs Research, Researched, and Watching. Research runs on demand, on the server, and returns a classification of the external context: supportive, neutral, or adverse. Wick's verdict combines the two: Enter, Wait, or Pass. The verdict is advice. You can always take the trade anyway.

Trade

Simulated accounts with prop-style rules: daily loss limit, maximum drawdown, and profit target. Positions are opened from a trade ticket that already contains the plan. Stops fill automatically, because a stop is an order you placed. Targets are flagged, and closing is your decision. Every closed trade records its costs, its playbook, and your notes, and the ledger exports as CSV.

The six playbooks

Aggressive playbooks cap risk at half a percent of equity whatever profile you choose, because their failures are fast. The ticket says so when it applies.
